Are you planning a proposal? Wondering where to find the best ethical engagement rings or what are the most sustainable options? If you have questions about buying online or what the process is for how to commission a bespoke ring, we wondered these things too, before we began making our own that is.
Now making engagement rings are some of our favourite things to work on. Creating something truly unique, filled with love and of course as responsible as possible brings our whole team so much joy. We hope this blog will give you insight into the process and express why you should consider choosing an ethically handmade engagement ring for that special someone.
Unique Design
If you work with us we will meet with you, in person or virtually, to gather all the information we need about your partner and the ring you want to create. You get to be involved in the design process so it is perfect for your proposal.
Honest Materials
You get to choose the materials we use, 9ct, 18ct gold or platinum to name just a few. We can offer ethically sourced natural gemstones or lab grown diamonds depending on your preference and we are always up for a challenge when it comes to sourcing. You get exactly what you pay for and an honest view of all materials and process involved in making your ring. This honesty sometimes involves us letting you know unfortunately we cannot source your ideal material but we will always offer alternatives and do our best to make it perfect.
Ethically Produced
Our team is small but mighty! If you meet with us for a consultation you will meet with Rachel, Emma or Rebecca who are often all involved in the process in one way or another. You can see inside our bright and airy London studio and workshop so you know exactly where your ring has come from and who made it.
One Of A Kind
Most often we source natural gemstones for our engagement rings, these stones come from around the world but we work closely with our supplier so we know each stone was mined responsibly, cut in a safe environment and is totally one of a kind, the same goes for the ring, when something is handmade it can never be truly replicated so it will be unique, just like your partner.
Supporting Small Business
The jewellery world has a long way to go when it comes to sustainability, especially in regards to conflict free stones and metal. When you support small independant ethical business you help create more demand for change and show others that ethics are not just a bandwagon.
Aftercare
Sizing can be tricky, especially if you are keeping your proposal secret, if the ring doesn't fit perfectly we will resize it to make sure it does. If wear and tear leads to damage we can always help with repairs and a polish to make sure your engagement ring always looks its best.
